Spiderman's true identity revealed

Yeah and here he is, the true identity of Spiderman, he isn't Peter Parker but my oldest son Tooya. Tooya had a very cool day today, cause today is his birthday. He turned six years old. He had a party at school and had lots and lots of sweets at home. On his birthday he could play the boss and he could choose what to eat. His lunch was a bunch of donuts foloowed by Rotterdam's most famous chocolate truffel cake plus home made chocolate's. For his birthday he got a pair of new sneakers, a bunch of dinosaur movies, a toy dinosaur, a Nintendo DS game and a toy helicopter with some evil looking merchenaries.

Now he is dressed up as spiderman. He just kicked my ass with a Rody horse, now he is kicking his brother's ass. Never a dull moment being a dad!

Neutral Milk Hotel

The Neutral Milk Hotel is one of my favorite bands ever. They only released two albums, the second, In the Aeroplane Over the Sea, is my favorite. Every song on this album is about Anne Frank. For me this album is pure, it gives me goosebumps everytime I listen to it. It is definatly worth checking out!

Here in Holland a lot of attention is given to the live and horrible sad death of Anne Frank. Numerous play's, movies and tv shows have been made about her last day's in the attic in Amsterdam. All of them are heartbreaking but "in the Aeroplane Over the Sea" her life and death are portrait with so much strengh no movie can ever do.

The result of my stay in Copenhagen

We all have delt with it, broken computers. Some months ago Ginji had put some Euro coins in my old imac so I couldn't use the dvd drive anymore. With all techinal stuff I amazed myself again when I opend the imac and fixed the problem. It workes perfect again cause I haven't heard my buddy Dennis complain about it since he bought it from me after I got my new Mac.

Anyway... my buddy Nick, the Electric Pick, had some serious computer problems as well. Due to his problems it took a little while for me to get the picture of the tattoo he did on me during my stay in Copenhagen.

Please check it out, suuuuper SWEET!

Daddy's little girl

Yeah, like I told a few weeks ago, the family is back and I haven't been posting as much as I would like too. My super clean and tidy house holding is all upside down. So much stuff came back from Japan that we still haven't found a place for it. One of the new things that have been in use almost immidiatly was the new Rody horse. This is the black version and it is my daughter Haru's (her name means spring in Japanese). She has become such a big girl, she can walk and she already can talk a little as well. She always want to sit with me, sing songs and she loves to hand me all her toys when I kicking back on the couch.

shitty Dutch weather

One thing the Dutch do is complain about the weather. We say of ourselfs that we indeed always complain about that we weather. Most Dutch people feel guilty when they complain about the weather which is cause this country is one of the best countries in the world to live in. I kid you not. I have been to a lot of places on our dear planet earth and each and everytime I realised I am blessed being born in Holland. I would even go further to say I wouldn't want to live anywhere else at the moment than my own city. I love it here, I love the people and I love the diversity.

Still I complain about the weather as well. I dont feel guilty though cause I got a hell of a lot reason to complain cause the weather simply suck 90% of the year. It is either too hot and moisture or it rains like on the picture. Still the Dutch weather is a small price to pay for living is such a cool country!

Magic in Copenhagen

How obsessed can a person be about something or someone? I had my obsessions. I traveled the globe to meet the love of my life, yeah, she did the same for me! In very few ocasionsI called myself a fan of something or somebody, simply because I think not many made only good stuff. There is Frank Zappa who's music I love but his later period kinda sucks. Then there is Tom Waits, he keeps amazing me, same as Neil Young. I think it is right to call myself a fan of them.

Then there is art. Lucky for me I am born in the country of the classic masters. I have seen a lot of art. There are very cool museums here in Holland and I have been to most of them. I had my kicks in the British museum, the Louvre, the museum of Cairo and even the metropolitian in New York. Now I only hav eto rool up my left sleeve and see PURE art. I am talking about my tattoo. This weekend I have been to Copenhagen Denmark with my buddy MP. Prime goal was my appointment with Nick the Electric Pick in Conspiracy ink. Nick worked on a piece he started in july when he was having a guest spot at 25 to life tattoos in Rotterdam. All excited I arrived in Copenhagen, we arrived pretty early so there was some time for sightseeing. At 13:00 I headed over the shop. I brough some cakes cause I read on both the princes inferno and uncle Allen blogspots that it is tradition to bring cake, didn't want to mess with traditions here. I met up with another obsessed ink victim at the shop. This dud was totaly covered from neck to toe. He had Allen work on one of the few blank spots on his body. I was pretty amazed to see this guy be afraid of the needle.

It was great to see Nick again. When he started buzzing with his magic needle I didn't felt the faith of keeping in the chair of pain so long. Still I oulasted good old Nick in the end, he got tired after 5 hours of tattooing on my arm. I asked him if he could do the background which he didn't resist.

I was amazed by the colour he put in my tattoo. When he was done I could take a look in the mirror. It was amazing! The colours, the lines, SUPER cool. Highly satisfied! I had a great great time getting tattooed by Nick. I would like to say to everyone who reads this and who is into tattoo's... GET A PIECE BY NICK! I simply love all his work, he is the only tattoo artist I know who never made a piece that made me go "hmm, not so cool dude". I love all his work.

Back at the hotel my arm was pretty swollen. Saturday it was pain free but today on sunday it burns... next stop, the itching... aarrgghh! But HELL, all for the good cause. I wait to get a good picture from Nick to post on my blog. For now you have to do it with a picture of the master at work!
